Last week Roger Dubuis officially launched the new Mon?gasque collection and they did it in style. According to Roger Dubuis it was all ‘European Art of Living’ and we can imagine it must have been a great evening in In Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo (also called Monaco).?

Early this year, during the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) Roger Dubuis already showed the first models of the new Mon?gasque collection. Last week, on October 20th, they celebrated the official launch in a casino in Monaco, and also launched to new limited editions!?The Mon?gasque Club and the Mon?gasque Flying Tourbillon.

You don’t have to be a strap fetishist to love the Chesterfield-style strap of the Roger Dubuis Mon?gasque Club. This looks like the roaring twenties, Monaco style that is. Just picture yourself smoking a cigar and drinking a nice and elegant cognac in the ‘club’, just before going to the casino.

The Mon?gasque Club is a split-time chronograph, is?limited to only 88 pieces and comes at the price of ? 43,000 Euro (including tax). The case is made of pink gold and measures 44 mm in diameter. The movement is caliber RD78 that is in-house developed and manufactured and comprises of 303 components. The main spring is wound by the micro-rotor and delivers 42 hours of power reserve.

The other limited edition is the Mon?gasque Flying Tourbillon and is limited to only 28 pieces. It comes at a price of ? 166,000 Euro (including tax). The Mon?gasque Flying Tourbillon has a platinum case, measuring 44 mm in diameter. The movement, caliber RD540, features a big date, a power reserve indicator and of course a flying tourbillon.

We are very impressed with the new Roger Dubuis Mon?gasque collection and are pleased to see the brand took a new turn now mr. George Kern, also CEO of IWC, took over. We are eagerly awaiting the moment we can report about some hands-on experience with one of the new Mon?gasque timepieces!

Wei Koh, one of our friends at Revolution, wrote an excellent article about the new Mon?gasque collection. A recommended read!!
